This absurd scenario serves as a precise metaphor for the current predicament of artificial intelligence development. We have used technology to create machines that appear intelligent, yet we remain caught in ambiguity across three core dimensions: the definition of intelligence, the verification of intelligence, and the judgment of answers. Ultimately, we hold the “42” of intelligence without knowing what question it truly answers. **I. Ambiguity in the Definition of Intelligence** *Replacing Essential Definition with Statistical Consensus* The primary dilemma of AI lies in the fact that intelligence itself lacks a rigorous mathematical and logical definition.
