Enterprise-level NLP SQL + Agent Domain Panoramic Scan and Core Insights. III. Industry Implementation Status, Value Boundaries, Costs, and User Profiles. When NLP SQL + Agent is implemented in enterprises, the most critical insight is that it does not replace anyone, but rather fills the gaps in the business chain. Different enterprises have different needs, and the applicable solutions and the value they can obtain also differ. However, the core logic remains unchanged: the model handles syntax, and the Agent handles the business logic. 1. Core Value: Filling the Intermediate Chain, Not Replacing. First, it is important to clarify that NLP, Seq, and Agent do not replace visualization tools. For fixed, high-frequency queries like today's order volume or regional sales figures, visualization tools can produce results with a single click, taking 1 to 3 seconds to retrieve data, which is faster and more stable than an Agent-assisted model generating SQL. There is no need for an Agent in such cases. Second, it also does not replace senior data analysts. When cross-analysis involving more than four dimensions is required—such as querying the top 3 combinations of average order value by region, user tier, product category, time, and payment method—SQL performance optimization (e.g., using indexes to avoid full table scans, adjusting join order for speed) or interpreting the business logic behind the data (e.g., whether a sales decline is due to price increases or competitor impact) still relies on the analyst's expertise. Currently, the model can only generate basic SQL. While the Agent can supplement business rules, it cannot understand implicit business weights—for example, that the importance of repurchase rate is twice that of new user recommendations. Nor will it proactively optimize query efficiency; complex queries may take 1 to 5 minutes to run. Its true value lies in filling the intermediate chain, addressing flexible needs that visualization tools cannot cover and that analysts lack time to handle. For instance, a sales manager may want to temporarily check the close rate of new customers in the East China region and compare it with last month's return rate. The visualization tool does not have this option configured, and waiting for an analyst would take an hour. In such cases, the Agent can quickly load the enterprise's table structures and business rule documents, enabling the model to generate SQL in 5 to 10 seconds and return results in 10 seconds. This allows business staff to obtain 80% usable query results quickly, without waiting or needing technical expertise. The efficiency improvement brought by this immediacy is exactly why enterprises are willing to pay. 2. Cost Structure. Different solutions suit different enterprises. From a cost perspective, the differences among three approaches—visualization tools, NLP SQL + Agent, and human analysts—are significant. The cost of visualization tools is a one-time development fee plus annual maintenance. Development costs vary depending on the number of tables, typically ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 RMB, with annual maintenance fees of 5,000 to 20,000 RMB. There are no ongoing consumption costs, making it suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises with fixed needs and limited budgets. The cost of NLP SQL + Agent comes in two forms. The public cloud SaaS version costs 500 to 2,000 RMB per month, with the Agent pre-configured with basic settings; enterprises simply upload documents and start using it. This is suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises without technical teams, replacing 1 to 2 basic positions (e.g., data entry clerks) at a cost 50% or more lower than hiring people. For private deployment, the initial investment is 100,000 to 300,000 RMB, including servers and the original tool license, with monthly token costs of 500 to 3,000 RMB. This is suitable for mid-to-large enterprises with high data security requirements. The Agent can be customized to adapt to the enterprise's permission system and business rules. Although the initial investment is high, it can cover the flexible needs of multiple departments, making it more cost-effective in the long run than hiring multiple basic positions. The cost of human analysts is the highest, with monthly salaries ranging from 15,000 to 50,000 RMB depending on city and experience, plus the time cost of queued requests. This is suitable for enterprises in finance, healthcare, and other industries requiring deep data mining, but ordinary enterprises can hardly bear the long-term cost. The core criterion for determining cost-effectiveness is how much labor the Agent can replace and how much efficiency it can improve. If an Agent can replace two basic positions or increase business query efficiency by over 30%, its cost-performance ratio far exceeds traditional methods. 3. User Profiles: Full Coverage from Small to Large Enterprises. Different types of enterprises have different needs and choices regarding NLP SQL + Agent. The core revolves around how the Agent can better adapt to the enterprise's business. Small and medium-sized e-commerce and traditional manufacturing companies are the core users of the SaaS version of the Agent. Their needs mainly involve operational daily data checks and regional sales performance queries. They lack dedicated technical teams, and visualization tools cannot cover flexible needs. In this case, the low-barrier advantage of the OCR+VO solution is evident: business staff can upload documents on the Agent interface, configure it, and start using it within half a day, with a monthly cost of just a few hundred RMB. Mid-to-large chain retail and internet companies tend to prefer private deployment of the Agent. Their business departments (sales, operations) have many flexible needs—for example, regional managers checking new customer conversion rates, product managers comparing return rates across categories. They also have data security requirements and cannot place documents on the public cloud. In this case, a privately deployed Agent can meet flexible needs through full context, control access to sensitive information through permission buckets, and integrate with the enterprise's internal ERP and CRM systems to supplement more business data. Finance, healthcare, and other highly regulated industries choose a hybrid Agent solution. For sensitive data—such as table structures related to customer credit reports or patient medical records—RAG is used for precise retrieval and permission filtering. For ordinary documents—such as operation manuals and business term dictionaries—OCR plus VL is used for full context. The Agent can comply with regulatory requirements, improve query efficiency, and generate audit logs to meet compliance traceability needs.
