Beneath all these appearances lies an ultimate truth that has long been obscured, a core distinction that Marx already revealed in *Capital*. Money is not the same as capital. Only wealth that enters the cycle of expanded reproduction and creates new use-value is true capital. Money used merely for speculation, consumption, transfer, or idle circulation is nothing but a consumed symbol, not a driving force for social progress. The fundamental decline of the Western world lies precisely here. Its vast wealth and money increasingly flow into welfare consumption, financial idling, asset speculation, and cross-border arbitrage, rarely returning to domestic real industries, no longer invested in R&D, capacity expansion, technological iteration, or industrial upgrading. Industrial capital continues to shrink, while financial capital expands malignantly, with surplus value shifting from the production end to the parasitic end. The entire system degenerates from an industrial capital cycle that creates wealth into a parasitic capital cycle that consumes wealth. To maintain social stability and avert底层 rebellion, the West has to continuously expand welfare, raise consumption, and overdraw the future. But high welfare and high consumption further push up production costs, squeeze out industrial capital, forming a death spiral of welfare expansion, rising costs, industrial outflow, shrinking tax bases, and swelling debt. In sharp contrast, the emerging industrial capital systems represented by China convert meager profits to the greatest extent into savings and reinvestment. Labor, land, and resources are intensively invested in expanded reproduction, with the entire society's surplus value continuously flowing back into capacity upgrades, infrastructure improvement, technological breakthroughs, and the deepening of industrial chains. Even if profits are thin, as long as reinvestment in reproduction continues, capital accumulates like a snowball, and total social wealth and industrial capacity achieve exponential growth. This is precisely the most vital and expansive industrial capital cycle described by Marx, and it is also the historical inevitability that the West deliberately abandoned yet cannot halt. An even more subversive truth is that the financial增值 created by Wall Street has never been the creation of new value, but rather a remote extraction and cross-temporal transfer of surplus value from global real industries. The speculation, arbitrage, swaps, and derivatives gambling in financial markets are essentially zero-sum or even negative-sum money games, like casino chips on an isolated island. They generate no use-value, increase no total social commodities, and create no real wealth. The so-called capital appreciation is merely a transfer of wealth between accounts, a hidden harvest of the labor成果 of global industrial workers. The reason this fictitious capital has value is solely that it can anchor and exchange for the real commodities created by global industrial capital. The true credit anchor of the dollar has never been the military, technology, or GDP. Rather, it has been the massive supply of cheap commodities provided by global manufacturing, represented by China, over the past decades. Once virtual capital decouples from real commodities, once the casino is severed from the production island, the chips on the financial island will instantly return to their essence: worthless digital symbols. Western financial bourgeoisie know this better than anyone, so they deeply fear China decoupling its industrial capital from financial hegemony, and fear China establishing an independent value system and pricing power. But history is full of absurd ironies. The decoupling and supply chain disruption pushed by the US-led Western powers in recent years may appear reckless and mindless. Yet in reality, they constitute a meticulously designed, interlocking two-step closure strategy aimed at strangling China's industrial capital completely. Its insidiousness and sophistication far exceed general perception. The first step of this strategy is to lock up upstream resources and energy, cutting off the industrial lifeline from the cost side. China, as the world's factory, possesses the most complete manufacturing system and can produce the vast majority of consumer and industrial goods, but it is also a huge demander of energy and minerals. Oil, natural gas, copper, iron, lithium, rare earths, and various industrial minerals are the food and blood of modern industry. Using centuries-accumulated hegemonic tools—capital control, military deterrence, color revolutions, NGO infiltration, and proxy wars—the West has been aggressively grabbing, controlling, and monopolizing resource-producing regions in Africa, South America, the Middle East, and Central Asia, attempting to firmly hold the upstream of global energy and minerals in its hands. If this布局 succeeds, China will be forced to accept Western-priced sky-high resources, causing industrial costs to skyrocket, profits to be squeezed to nothing, and competitiveness to be destroyed at its root. The second step of the strategy is to lock down downstream markets and force industrial chain relocation, dismembering the industrial system from the demand side. Using long-arm jurisdiction as a weapon, the West imposes discriminatory tariffs and trade coercion, not only building high walls against Chinese goods themselves but also forcing allies, trade partners, and even major exporters to the US like Vietnam and Indonesia to restrict industrial exchanges with China, cutting off overseas pathways for Chinese goods. Simultaneously, the West uses policies and capital markets as bait to forcibly drive industrial capital out of China into designated alternative countries such as India, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia, attempting to strip, transplant, and rebuild the world factory from China, completely depriving China of commodity pricing power, shipping dominance, trade settlement rights, and industrial chain allocation power. Upstream: resource costs blow up, eating profits. Downstream: tariff-locked markets, export routes blocked entirely. Under this dual squeeze, industrial capital is forced to leave, China's industrial system becomes hollowed out, dismembered, and replaced, eventually returning to a peripheral position of being plundered, dominated, and priced. This is not a trade conflict; it is a full-scale strangulation of an emerging industrial power by imperialism. If China had not prepared in advance, this combination punch would almost certainly have succeeded. But history has not followed the Western script. With very early strategic foresight, China has laid out global resource cooperation through mutually beneficial win-win arrangements, long-term agreements, infrastructure-for-resources, and equal trade, securing stable supplies of Middle Eastern oil, African minerals, South American lithium and iron, and Central Asian energy, breaking Western resource monopoly. At the same time, China has vigorously pushed forward the new energy revolution and technological self-reliance, achieving comprehensive breakthroughs in photovoltaics, wind power, new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, energy storage, and rare earth refining, reducing dependence on traditional fossil fuels, offsetting cost pressure through industrial upgrading, and reshaping competitiveness through technological innovation. The West attempts a double strangulation via resources and markets; China responds with resource diversification, new energy substitution, industrial chain deepening, domestic demand expansion, and local currency settlement, breaking through layer by layer. The West tries to create a closed colonial system where it alone controls resources, markets, and pricing power. But China, rooted in real industry and armed with true wealth, is tearing open the old hegemony's blockade, forging an independent, autonomous, and sustainable industrial capital path. Xiamen's winter rain continues, the view outside remains calm. This half-century-long Western feast is already drawing to a close. The dividend of cheap commodities is exhausted, the legacy of Eastern Europe has been consumed, immigration policies backfire, and the debt spiral accelerates. Interest burdens crush fiscal budgets, monetary credit continues to bleed, and fictitious capital inflates until it detaches from the real economy. The strangulation strategy encounters tenacious breakthroughs, and the old global order is collapsing step by step. What is most tragic is not the collapse itself, but the清醒ness and powerlessness of those living in these times. Seeing the credit collapse behind soaring gold and silver prices, seeing commodity inflation deliberately concealed, seeing purchasing power hemorrhage behind service inflation. Seeing the false prosperity of the West sustained by plunder, blood-sucking, sell-offs, and transfers. Seeing the universal subsidies and class exploitation behind Japan's 30-year zero interest rates. Seeing the massive dividends gifted to Europe by the collapse of the Soviet Union. Seeing the various operations of elite classes abandoning conscience to prolong their own lives. Seeing the insidious strangulation conspiracy behind Western decoupling and supply chain disruption, and seeing the systemic tipping point destined to arrive within three to five years. Even more tragic is that the清醒 are not outsiders, but participants in this long feast. Sitting at the main table, they have not enjoyed the delicacies, only leftover scraps on the edges, yet they remain trapped in the game. They see through all the lies but cannot expose them; they foresee all endings but cannot escape. They sympathize with the silent masses being boiled in lukewarm water, yet despise the opportunistic vested interests, and are themselves confined in the torrent of the era, forced to witness in silence. Perhaps these are the last few calm winters of the old order, the last few cold rains without chill. The singing and dancing have not stopped, the glasses are still clinking, the lukewarm water continues to heat, and the vast majority remain immersed in a long-lasting illusion of safety. Only a few know that all good things must come to an end. An empire sustained by plunder, overdrawing, shifting, and covering up will eventually fall. Distorted prices will return, buried truths will surface, delayed debts will be settled, and overdrawn credit will go to zero. A new world based on real labor, industrial accumulation, and the cycle of reproduction is slowly rising from the ruins of the old hegemony. And we are all silent witnesses to this change of eras and the fulfillment of destiny.
