Deeply share the underlying lifeline of China's Token economy, relying not on traditional clusters but on a thousand-card level integrated computing power base. I. Core Conclusion. To be straightforward, the only solid foundation for China's trillion-level token industry, AI inclusive price reductions, and large-scale commercial deployment is a unified computing cluster based on thousand-card level integrated software and hardware. Traditional multi-server distributed clusters can never truly support inference cost reduction, let alone achieve low-cost, high-concurrency large-scale token supply. The core logic can be summed up in one sentence: Model weights are globally shared, and massive users only need private KV cache allocated on demand. Only an integrated whole-machine GPU memory pool can achieve this. Dispersed clusters will only repeatedly copy weights, permanently wasting computing power and driving up costs. II. Understand the Essence First. Inference and training are fundamentally two different things. Many industry practitioners confuse the core logic because they fail to distinguish the underlying differences between training and inference. 1. Training phase: The only requirement is to fit the model and complete iterations. Even if it is slow, multi-node splitting and multiple copies of weights are acceptable. It does not bottleneck concurrency or revenue. 2. Inference phase: Token production is all about how many users can be served simultaneously, GPU memory utilization, and cost per token. This is the lifeline of AI commercialization profitability. The ultimate bottleneck that kills inference is never a lack of computing power or suboptimal algorithms, but the GPU memory allocation rule. For a hundred-billion-parameter large model, the base weights alone require hundreds of GB, occupying the vast majority of GPU memory. Weights are a public resource, shared by all users. KV cache is exclusive session data for each user. In long-context scenarios, a single user may take up tens of GB of GPU memory, which must be allocated independently without interference. A straightforward example: A high-end eight-GPU server with a total of 600 GB GPU memory. 200 GB is filled with model weights. The remaining 400 GB is allocated to KV cache. In long-dialogue scenarios, it can only serve two to three users simultaneously. A high-end device costing hundreds of thousands becomes a niche single-machine tool. It is fundamentally impossible to scale the token business this way. III. Traditional distributed clusters seem to scale but are inherently ineffective. Many people mistakenly believe that stacking more servers, connecting them via Ethernet, and building networks can increase computing power and reduce inference costs. This is the biggest misconception. The fatal flaws of traditional independent server clusters lock efficiency from the bottom layer: 1. Duplicate weight copies, extreme waste. Each independent server must store a complete copy of hundreds of GB of model weights. For 100 servers, there are 100 identical redundant copies. Over 90% of high-end GPU memory is occupied uselessly, leaving minimal space for KV cache concurrency. 2. Hardware physical ceiling cannot be broken. The PCIe bus bandwidth, CPU memory controller, motherboard slots, power supply, and cooling of a single server are all fixed at the factory. Forcibly adding more GPUs will only trigger electromagnetic interference, bandwidth congestion, and cooling collapse, failing to guarantee basic stability. 3. The internetwork latency gap is unsolvable. The cross-server latency of ordinary cables, 40G, or 80G Ethernet is three orders of magnitude worse than the local bus. Attempting to disguise it as a single machine via virtual bus will only cause fast components waiting for slow ones, local waiting for remote, resulting in overall computing power collapse. It is better to run a single machine honestly. 4. No global GPU memory scheduling. Dispersed clusters cannot pool GPU memory, making it impossible to allocate idle memory to hot services. KV cache can only be closed within a single machine. The concurrency ceiling is stuck at single digits. Summary: Traditional clusters rely on quantity and redundancy. They appear to have high computing power, but GPU memory utilization is extremely low. The cost per token can never be reduced, and they are completely unsuitable for trillion-level token demands. IV. Thousand-card level integrated cluster: The only correct foundation for the Token economy. The core of integration is to completely turn thousands of GPUs and dozens of cabinets into one super machine in terms of hardware interconnection, underlying firmware, and system scheduling. From a software perspective, it acts like one huge motherboard and an infinitely expandable global GPU memory pool, with no cross-machine boundaries or redundant isolation. It perfectly solves all pain points and is the core key to inference cost reduction: 1. Global unique weights, permanent zero redundancy. The entire thousand-card cluster stores only one copy of model weights, permanently residing in the global GPU memory pool. Tens of thousands of users share this one basic resource. No more repeated copies on each machine, freeing up hundreds of GB of core GPU memory. 2. Infinite GPU memory pool expansion. Dedicated to KV cache concurrency, all saved GPU memory is used to build a massive KV cache resource pool. Weights occupy no redundant space. New users only receive on-demand private session cache. Single cluster serving thousands or tens of thousands of users simultaneously becomes a reality, maximizing hardware utilization. 3. Ultra-low latency interconnection, comparable to local bus, using dedicated high-speed interconnects. For example, NVLink full interconnect, Google TPU dedicated bus. Data interaction across cabinets reaches local-bus speed. Model splitting, KV cache scheduling, and session switching have no lag. No latency dragging down computing power. 4. Hardware infrastructure addresses physical bottlenecks, with dedicated liquid cooling, centralized power supply, and customized motherboard architecture. Breaking through the limits of single-machine cooling, power supply, and electromagnetic interference, supporting stable full-load operation of high-density thousand-card clusters. Compare to top industry solutions: Google TPU Pods, NVIDIA NVL72 racks and whole machines, domestic Ascend thousand-card clusters—all follow this logic: first achieve whole-machine integration, then talk about GPU memory pooling. Finally achieve mass token production and price reduction. V. Why do most people fail to understand or realize this? 1. Cognitive stratification and isolation: Top cloud vendors and computing infrastructure teams and core architects are clear about this. But ordinary algorithm engineers, product managers, capital parties, and the industry public only look at model performance, without discussing hardware layers or GPU memory logic. 2. Core technologies are trade secrets: Weight sharing, GPU memory pooling, and integrated scheduling are moats for leading companies. They will never be publicly promoted. Outsiders only see token price reductions but not the underlying computing infrastructure logic. 3. High cross-domain cognitive threshold: Understanding this logic requires knowledge of model inference, computer hardware, and cluster scheduling. Practitioners in a single domain cannot reach the deep essence. 4. Appearance masks the core: People generally think that more computing power and smaller models lead to cheaper inference, but they ignore the most critical truth: Inference cost reduction does not rely on chips or algorithms, but on eliminating weight redundancy and revitalizing KV cache concurrency. VI. Implementation Conclusion. The decisive factors for China's Token economy: 1. Without a thousand-card level integrated computing power base, all talk about token price reduction and inclusive AI large-scale commercialization is empty. 2. Traditional distributed clusters can only serve niche inference testing scenarios and can never become production factories for trillion-level tokens. 3. In future domestic computing power competition, the key is not who stacks more GPUs, but who can integrate more computing power into a single machine, who can maximize GPU memory pool utilization, and who can achieve zero weight redundancy and sharing. 4. This underlying infrastructure is the core lifeline for China to maintain the world's highest token call volume and continuously lower AI service costs.
