The Magna Carta is by no means a democratic charter—it is the ultimate fig leaf for a thousand-year Western lie! Stop being brainwashed across the internet! The 1215 Magna Carta had absolutely nothing to do with democracy, human rights, or the property rights of commoners. It was merely a spoils-sharing agreement between the king and the nobility, a compromise of power within the ruling class—nothing more. This is an extremely simple yet deliberately concealed fatal logical flaw by the so-called public intellectuals. Medieval Western Europe was a complete serfdom society. Serfs had no personal freedom, no rights to personhood, no right to migration, no property rights—people were the private property of their lords. They could be bought, sold, beaten, scolded, exploited at will, and even subjected to the *droit du seigneur* (right of the first night). In such a bottom-tier society where even the right to personhood was completely nullified, it is an enormous joke for some to brazenly boast about "the wind may enter, the rain may enter, but the king may not enter"—the sanctity of private property. If people themselves are the property of the nobles, on what grounds is their thatched hut sacred? This is the greatest absurdity of this lie. At the same period, Europe was mired in the Dark Ages, and many people fail to understand the structural and developmental gaps between Chinese and Western systems. The year 1215 corresponds to China’s Song Dynasty. During the Song Dynasty and throughout ancient China, there was no serfdom. China was filled with freehold farmers who enjoyed full personal freedom, land ownership rights, and the freedom to migrate. Regarding the so-called "land annexation" in ancient times, here is a truth most ordinary people do not know: Many peasants voluntarily and willingly attached their land to the names of gentry or powerful families. The reason was extremely pragmatic. In ancient times, taxes were levied per head, and corvée labor was apportioned. Self-sufficient farmers were the main tax and corvée subjects of the state. The ancient middle class bore the heaviest burden. Gentry, officials, and nobles were exempt from taxes and corvée. Thus, to reduce burdens and avoid taxes, a large number of peasants voluntarily attached their land to large households, then rented it back for cultivation. This was not personal dependency—it was an economic choice. Chinese peasants were human beings with the right to choose, property, and freedom. Western European serfs were objects, livestock, assets of the lord, enslaved for generations. In the same era, Chinese civilization’s level of civility, humanity, and institutional freedom overwhelmingly crushed Europe’s serfdom-based society by an entire age. So why does the West desperately mythologize the Magna Carta? This is the ultimate truth that has never been thoroughly explained across the entire internet. The West frantically packages the Magna Carta, fabricating a false history of a thousand-year democratic tradition, sanctity of property, and institutional superiority. The fundamental purpose is not to discuss history, but to whitewash original sin. Why did the West suddenly become wealthy in modern times? Not because of advanced institutions, not because of civilizational superiority, not because of democracy and freedom. There are only two real reasons: piracy and colonial plunder. The entire modern rise of Europe was built upon the bloody primitive accumulation of global genocide, the slave trade, colonial looting, cultural relic theft, and resource plundering. Go watch a British antique roadshow— *Antiques Roadshow*—and it becomes crystal clear. Countless British ordinary households have treasures, antiques, gold, silver, and porcelain, all with the same origin: colonial plunder from India, looting by the Eight-Nation Alliance in China, overseas pirate spoils. If even private collections are like this, the British Museum and the Metropolitan Museum are even more stacked with national treasures snatched from around the world. The vast modern wealth of the West is essentially ill-gotten loot, stained with blood. Mythologizing the Magna Carta is meant to cover up the original sin of sudden wealth—they are extremely insecure.
