End Game of AGI, many people's imagination of the final state of AI has always been trapped in a single singularity anxiety. Once the large model starts a cycle of self-iteration and recursive evolution, it leads to unlimited exponential growth, a completely divergent and endless explosion of capability. The singularity theory of many tech giants in Silicon Valley has never changed its core logic: the end game of AGI is uncontrolled infinity. As long as the model can autonomously train the next generation, each iteration—even if it brings only a 1% or even 0.1% marginal improvement in capability—will, with the power of compound interest, eventually break through all boundaries over time, achieving an infinite leap in intelligence. Precisely because of this, the global AI race has fallen into an anxious state of "ten thousand years is too long, seize every moment." Everyone is chasing the so-called moment of singularity, fearing that if they fall behind, they will completely lose this end game. But if we step back from technological fervor and return to the most basic mathematical logic of limits, we will find that there is a fatal misconception at the root of humanity's ultimate imagination of AGI's self-iteration. Positive feedback, continuous growth, and recursive evolution never equate to infinite divergence. Mathematics has long written the end game of all growth in the convergence and divergence of series. The most classic comparison is the stark difference between the harmonic series and the Basel series. The harmonic series, i.e., 1 + 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/4 + ... added infinitely, is a sequence that always grows. Each term is positive, the values keep accumulating, and no step shows any decay, regression, or reversal. Everyone's intuition would say that adding continuously must result in infinity. And indeed that is the case: this series diverges to infinity, with no boundary, never approaching a fixed value. But with just one square added, everything changes completely. The Basel problem's sum of reciprocal squares: 1 + 1/2² + 1/3² + 1/4² + ... added infinitely. Again, it is a purely positive accumulation, each term still positive. The sequence always increases, never stops extending. To the naked eye and common sense, the difference in growth between 1/n and 1/n² is negligible—both are infinitesimal increments approaching zero. Yet this tiny hierarchical decay in growth rate completely rewrites the end game. Euler already proved that this infinite sum converges precisely to π²/6, approximately 1.645. Infinite growth, infinite addition, all positive output, yet ultimately trapped within a fixed limit. It still grows, but the momentum of each increment continuously weakens. The rate of decay of the increment eventually overcomes the infinite number of additions, giving a seemingly endless accumulation a definite end. This is the first mathematical truth that can break the superstition of the AI singularity: continuous growth never equals infinite growth. The rate of decay of growth momentum determines the end game far more than the act of growth itself. The second key truth lies in the logic of the alternating harmonic series. We discuss the alternating series: 1 - 1/2 + 1/3 - 1/4 + ... infinitely alternating. This series has a rigorous conclusion: it converges strictly, with a limit of the natural logarithm of 2, approximately 0.693. It does not diverge, nor does it explode infinitely. Under the mathematically definable rules of convergence, this alternating harmonic series strictly converges to a fixed limit of ln 2. The characteristic of this series is no longer monotonic growth but bidirectional recursion. Positive values accumulate, and negative values also accumulate. Advantages expand, deficiencies also expand simultaneously. Each iteration is both a process of gain and a process of loss. Each amplification magnifies both the positive momentum and the inherent weaknesses. Ultimately, this infinite game of opposing forces does not lead to uncontrolled explosion but to the convergence of a dynamic equilibrium. So-called "strength cannot last long, weakness cannot hold firm." Unidirectional strong growth cannot be sustained. The constant hidden weaknesses always exist, and the final result of the bidirectional tug-of-war is anchoring at a stable limit range. Understanding these two sets of mathematical logic allows one to see through the true end game of AGI's self-iteration. The current industry's belief in recursive infinite evolution essentially assumes that AI iteration is equivalent to the purely positive divergence of the harmonic series. People only see models autonomously training and self-optimizing, parameter iterations, and compound growth of capabilities, but they overlook that all AI iteration has never been a purely positive incremental movement. We have already clarified earlier that the essence of a large model is a high-dimensional function with fixed underlying characteristics. The underlying parameter logic, inherent probability biases, and cognitive boundaries of the Transformer architecture constitute the natural domain of this function. Any self-iteration or self-training is merely completing secondary amplification within the framework of its own underlying function, not reconstructing the underlying logic. This means that every recursion of AI perfectly matches the bidirectional property of the alternating series. The model's reasoning ability, understanding, and generation accuracy increase positively during iteration. At the same time, its inherent hallucination defects, logical blind spots, probability biases, and cognitive limitations are also recursively amplified in sync. Gains and losses, strengths and weaknesses, positive breakthroughs and negative counterbalances always coexist and iterate together. There is no purely positive compound interest; all evolution is bidirectional weighting. The logic of the Basel series further clarifies the ultimate destiny of AGI iteration: the momentum of all self-growth inevitably decays continuously. As the model's capability approaches the theoretical upper limit of its own underlying architecture, the effective gain from each iteration shrinks rapidly. Early iterations may achieve considerable improvements, but the closer it gets to the inherent boundary, the closer the effective increment approaches zero. Even if iterations never stop, training never ceases, and accumulation never ends, the rate of decay will eventually surpass the rate of growth. This is the true end game of AGI: it will not experience a sci-fi singularity explosion, infinite intelligence, or uncontrolled divergence. The so-called end game is not an infinite leap of intelligence, but a steady-state limit of dynamic convergence. In mathematics, infinite summation can converge; infinite recursion can balance. In AI evolution, continuous iteration can also hit a ceiling. Humanity's fear of an uncontrolled end game is a fantasy that ignores underlying constraints. The real technological end game always obeys the laws of limits: all growth is bounded by underlying properties, all positive feedback is accompanied by negative counterbalance, and all infinite iterations will eventually reach a converging endpoint. There is no eternal divergence, only an inevitable end game. This is the logic of limits— the most sobering answer brought to the era of AI frenzy.
